There are many self help sites and magazines which hand out stringent regime for weight loss that makes us go dizzy. There are no hard and fast rules in losing weight. Cut down the level of junk food: Avoid junk food as much as you can. Keep some fruits handy because they supply your everyday requirement of vitamins and fibers. Fruits make digestion process easy and help in cutting down the fat levels.

Fats are classified according to their properties and unsaturated fats are found to be less harmful than Saturated fats. Try to include olive oil and peanut oil in your daily diet.

You should never go on starving so as to lose weight. This makes your body to remain dependent on the accumulated fat and it might even lead to loss in energy levels.

Depression, though a psychological phenomenon, also leads to weight gain. So keep up a good spirit and try to indulge in some work that takes away the stress.

Always try to keep a fixed sleep schedule. The change in our sleep timings may results in severe changes in the process of digestion. You should therefore try sleeping and waking up at the same time.
